A Beginners Guide to ERWF
The forums are getting a bit busy. Perhaps some of our newish members could let me know which parts it would have been useful to have pointed out in a 'starter' thread?

veinglory- 03-22-2006

Once upon a time about a year ago, Emily veinglory started a forum for erotic romance writers. Oh, dear, she thought. There is nobody here but me. :( I think that I need some people to take charge of this sucker and make some noise. Next... (add your own entrance)

mychael_black- 03-22-2006

Then Emily invited a newbie to the scene: Liz aka Kay Derwydd aka Mychael Black. Little did Emily know...Liz is positively insane. Next!

(6000 posts later) heh. Liz=instant forum

James Buchanan- 03-22-2006

snerk says James who was once the second forum whore, killed off that identity, resurrected and will be a whore again some day.

mychael_black- 03-22-2006

(6000 posts later) heh. Liz=instant forum *Whistles just to add another post to the count*

veinglory- 03-22-2006

Sh*t, you slipped in an extra thousand when I wasn't looking. Yes, well, i had to get used to 'james'. It's insidious though. i now have this mental image of eroticjames...

James Buchanan- 03-22-2006

Wait I'll put up the "lick" AV tonight and you'll have it worse. And you so have to tell me what "James" looks like...

mychael_black- 03-22-2006

Sh*t, you slipped in an extra thousand when I wasn't looking. *snickers* 7300-something...

cupnjava- 10-31-2007

And then Cupnjava arrived in hopes of learning more of this crazy craft. Little did she know that penguins ruled the forum and kept gay elves as slaves. Also, completely unbeknownst to her and in no way her fault, a string of priests followed her into the forums, but only made their presence known after she discovered the vampires. Fear not! She tucked herself behind a band of perverts...err...writers who showed her how to slay and strip such vile beasts whilst not a single bodice ripped. Together they set forth to strike purple prose, fill plot holes and demolish poor character designs. They came. They thought. They wrote. (How DID we get started on the penguins? Anyone remember?)

Bayou Bill- 10-31-2007

(How DID we get started on the penguins? Anyone remember?) Well, since you asked: In the beginning Penguins created the heaven and the world wide web. And the internet was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of the Penguins moved upon the face of the waters. And Emily said, Let there be light: and there was the ERW. And so on and so forth. Or something kinda like that. Bishop Bayou Bill

MauiPotiki- 10-31-2007

And then MauiPotiki arrived, actually, rather dragged from the spam that has deluged the Gay Fiction Forum that he had just found. Though the spammers did come to this new place where he arrived, people taunted and toyed with them, much to the admins disapproval. Don't play with the spambots she would say. But we still did. Because even spammers have questions that need answers, no matter how silly they seem. Right? And good god. This place only started a year ago?

redandgold- 10-31-2007

And every so often a lurker de-lurks in a manner reminiscent of that creepy old man in the mac . . .

Bayou Bill- 10-31-2007

And every so often a lurker de-lurks in a manner reminiscent of that creepy old man in the mac . . . Let's see, you've been a member since 01/07 and have eight posts. Yep, I'd say that qualifies as lurking. Glad you decided to come out of the closet, R&G. Besides, I could use a bit more room in there for my naps. Bayou Bill 8)

LOL. Who wants to nap with Bayou Bill and redandgold? I'm bringing my teddy.
