A Family Trip
Okay, the hubby and young'uns and I are off to Boone today, with a stop at Linville Caverns planned, as well as some dining out and SHOPPING in downtown Boone and Blowing Rock. I am so stoked, I love these little family mini-vacations :) The last time we went to Boone, we stopped at Grandfather Mountain and had a blast. Except the Boy-Child was NOT fond of the swinging bridge, bless him. See y'all tomorrow evening some time :D

we are back, and had a lovely lovely time :) Hubby was hired to do caricatures at Appalachian State for their celebration marking the beginning of school. Or whatever it was. Must be nice to make $300 for 2 hours of work, I wouldn't know. a college boy tried to pick me up, and the staff kept trying to get my daughter and me to mingle, thinking we were freshmen. LOL. hubby says the girl-child needs a sign around her neck saying "I'm 15" (which she does...) and I need one saying "I'm 41" I think people just need to pay more attention. :roll:

It is the first week of term here I people keep trying to induct me. I have grey hairs . Don't they see--okay I still *dress* like a student but, but... oh. a discount? Well that's different!

discount?!? Darn, all I got was a highlighter.

I love free things. I got a pencil and bookmark from romance divas a few days ago and I still feel happy about it. Maybe I should rethink my decision not to make book promo items.

*chuckles* I have to admit, even at 28, I'm still utterly flattered to be carded at a bar. LOL
