Agents
Gay erotic romance is such a niche market that compiling a list of potential agents is a pain in the ass. I don’t know if any of you can help, but I’d appreciate it. I’m hitting a few of the searchable databases and I figured I’d post a broad list here. I don’t know which, if any, of these I’ll query. Nicole Kenealey with Aaron M. Priest Lit Agency (gay/lesbian fiction) http://aaronpriest.com/submissions.html Brown Literary Agency (women's fiction, romance, erotica, no men's fiction--is m/m erotic romance intended for women readers considered men's fiction?) Not currently reviewing new material. http://www.brownliteraryagency.com/submissions.html Sharene Martin-Brown with Wylie-Merrick (romance and erotica, I know she's repped at least one gay romance title. This listing is a bit confusing to me. On the Wylie-Merrick website it says to contact her via her e-mail address. On a searchable agent website it says anything coming to her e-mail address will be deleted and you must submit through an online portal on the Wylie-Merrick website. The portal is no where to be found. A few months ago everything seemed to be sent to an assistant of some kind, but his information is no where to be found. I'm going to assume the Wylie-Merrick site has the most current information.) http://www.wylie-merrick.com/2.html Nancy Coffey with Nancy Coffey Literary & Media Representation (handles erotica and gay and lesbian, but I'm not sure if she handles gay erotica.) http://www.agentquery.com/agent.aspx?agentid=186 Pamela Ahearn with The Ahearn Agency (romance and gay and lesbian, but no "catagory romance". I don't know what catagory romance is. ) http://www.agentquery.com/agent.aspx?agentid=723 Uwe Stender with TriadaUS Literary Agency (romance and "multi-cultural", but does handle G&L NON-fiction. The agency website is a geocities website. I'm not judging; I'm just pointing that out.) http://www.agentquery.com/agent.aspx?agentid=787 That's a really short list. I'll add more as I find them. Can anyone else add a name or two?

Not yet. Sorry. I'm still waffling on coughing up money for a year's membership at writersmarket.com.

Not yet. Sorry. I'm still waffling on coughing up money for a year's membership at writersmarket.com. I've never checked into that website. I just know that gathering a list of names is a whole lot of leg work. I figured I'd post some here and save other people the trouble.

Daniel Lazar with Writer's House. http://www.publishersmarketplace.com/members/DanielLazar/ http://www.writershouse.com/content/about.asp P&E lists Writer's House as "highly recomended." Daniel has "gay and lesbian" listed as one of his interests, but there is no mention of romance.
