Well folks, I think this forum's pretty cool, I'm surprised I didn't know about your forum until now!! Thanks for letting me join, it would be nice to meet other like-minded individuals here. My interest is mainly in South Asian (primarily Indian) heterosexual erotica - but there's very little quality Indian erotica on the internet, which, as an Indian, I am ashamed of. The Kama Sutra, and the temples of Khajuraho, are the few things that I can probably be proud of. Not only is most of the Indian material currently on the internet not very good, the quality of the English used is awful. Although I'm Indian, my first language, for all practical purposes, is English. I'd like to write erotica that is poetic in its elegance (as opposed to hardcore pornography). I'd like advice, especially from women, on how to write quality erotica. It's my honest view that in the act of intercourse, the male has a duty to give pleasure to the female, and so good erotica must be as arousing to women as to men. LoL.. I could understand that. I'm from South-East Asia. In a long time ago, Malays from the Archipelago were heavily influenced by Hinduism in the culture and there's tons of ancients monuments scattered around the country but only few survived (considering the colourful war history of the region, its surprising if there are more ancient sites has survived anyway) I've read about some of the hinduism in the literature but there's very little known of them since Malay Ancient history are pretty much having less commercialized and romanticised compared to western's history and the information are heavily guarded and kept away from public due to "sensitivity" of certain people. I'd agree that its a shame that there are many interesting fictions can be written about this things. Not that recently, I had in mind to make a fiction which partly influenced about my ancestors who are in lines of noble blood Javanese. But then, most of the historical references for nobles are a few and there's not much of stories to be obtained from my family (My dad is very secretive about it and I only know about my lineage after my grandfather died) hahaha... to be honest, my family history freaks me out but I tone some of it down a bit. Below are only a bit of what I get from my dad... very-very small bit anyway... Well.. my great-great-grand parents are of a noble bloodline (in which according to my mom, it can be roughly can be traced into Mataram sultanate) and seems the pressure by the world's powers (namely Netherlands occupation, world wars and some coup d'état) were pressing in the country's politics which made them forcing my great-grand mother to marry with other proper noble family to give a greater influence into their family. Somehow along the way, my great-grand mother fall in love with a lesser and low-ranked farmer which induced my great-great-grand parent's fury when they eloped and went away from Solo, Java to across the sea to Johor which is located in Southern Malaya. My grand aunt says that Javanese are superstitious lot and said that my great-great-grand parents had cursed their daughter's generation to never had a "Happily-Ever-Afters" in the line of females. Which I'm really doubting that but in reality, there are some unhappy marriages and even forced marriages in my family... some of it make me cringe... haha.... its better to not know the family secrets anyway,,, But it would be really fun to write about them... ero-romance of course.... I did not have a plan to make this into a full length but the idea is around so if somebody was interested, maybe I'll look up to it.
