APOLOGIES AND JUST SAYING Hi
Since joining the group in mid-June I've had another bout of depression, so I apologise for having taken so long in saying hi to all you good folk out there. I believe I told the management about the problems I've had through this debillitating bug-bear when I applied to join, I just hope you'll bear with me during periods like this where I do not post anything for many weeks , because I will return as and when the problem eases. Now, by way of introduction: my name is Bob, but for years my friends have called me RomanFox which is taken from the first and last initial of my name. I hope you good people will give me the courtesy of doing the same. To use Bob, or the even more formal Robert, would remind me too much of my ex-wife and mother-in-law who only used those names if they either wanted something or were going to have a go at me. Now one's dead and I'm well rid of the other. Age-wise I'm not far short of the UK's retirement age — being a Londoner living in exile in Scotland that means being not far short of 60 I was forced to retire in the mid 1990s through health reasons, and I've hated it. It was probably the very thing that has resulted in my having to endure depression. Still that's a different soapbox.
One of the things I don't want from you good people is sympathy. But I do look forward to receiving your comments on my efforts as an author. Be good, be cheerful, and always remember there are millions of people in the world far worse off than each one of us.
