Can I be mournful a moment . . . . . . about the difficulties of marketing original gen?
That's how I'm going to refer to it, to make clear that it's very different kettle of fish from marketing original slash.
(For those of you who don't know, "gen" is the word in the fan fiction world for stories that don't focus primarily on sexual attraction.)
There are a ton of romance review sites out there that will consider reviewing small-press/self-published e-bookss. It's easy to find them - they're the main romance review sites. But I'm having to dig around in grubby corners of the Internet to find the SF/F reviewers who will review small-press/self-published e-books - this, despite the fact that Fictionwise began as an SF/F site.
*Sigh*. Just had to get that off my shoulders.
