[Challenge] Vampires
You love them; you know you do. So why not write about them? Vampires have been part of mythology in nearly every culture on Earth. Yet despite the fear surrounding them, there is an equal amount of intrigue, and dare I say... lust. With that, write about your ultimate idea of a vampire. He/she/it can be anything you want, but make it sexy. :twisted:

Dark Souls
I love reading vampire novels, and I write about them in my poetry and in some of my short stories. My ultimate vampire would be male, long dark hair, which he let flows, so soft a breeze always want to touch, tease, eyes as dark as the night, only the moon will reflect in them, and when he looks at you, he sees inside what most of us hide. He will sometimes wear a smirk or look amused, but when you feel his desire, your body will hum, feel him inside exploring, sometimes gentle, sometimes with raw need. His mouth is full, , soft, yet hard and deep like his appearance. He is 6'2, very tall, muscular, but not too so. He wears all black, boots up to his knees, a black coat that flows to the floor. He plays in mystery, watches, never misses anything that goes on around him, yet he is lonely, blended in the night, for that is his peace.

Ya know the last time we spoke about vamps here, I ended up with a little short that I didn't think was submission worthy. That became Full Circle. :D

What's the word count? Cause I've GOT a vamp story in my head that I've yet to commit to paper cause I'd need to do a little planning, and it's a little longer than 3k!

You know I love the vamps Mych. I've started the sequel for Kristair and Jacob.

Honestly, I don't really care for traditional vampires, but I will take on the more monstrous Werebats (as last seen in Underworld 2) . Ideal vampire must have black hair (but I could take red hair), red eyes, a 25-foot wingspan, bulging muscles and must not only drink blood... but why waste the rest of the human...He must be Bulgarian or some slavic breed that does not speak like a scholar. He must be a bruiser and look as dangerous in human form as he is in his changed state. He must be a cousin to the powerful gargoyle breed and must have sharp claws on both hands and feet and he must never turn into smoke. He can have an allergy to wood (stakes) or garlic. He can come out during the day as long as the sun isn't shinning aka overcast and religious artifacts have no effect on him.... Oh yeah, I smell fic!!

My vampire is more subtle, more human, less wings and more feline lurking in the shadows. He does not drink blood, oh no, to messy on a silk shirt; he is an energy vampire. He searches for innocent young women (a difficult occupation in this modern age) he seduces them, lures them into a world of the occult, the undead, enslaves them, then prostitutes them for mens' pleasure. He watches, the ultimate voyeur as she teases her victim, luring the prey into an intense sexual frenzy culminating in the release of energy in mutual orgasm on which he feeds;

Decided to throw soiled panties in the garbage. :)

My vamps are vamp and angel hybrids created by God to defend humans from demonic forces alive in the world. My vamps are also a splinter group who rebuked their angelic nature and followed the beliefs of Lucifer and are hellbent on taking their place in the world as the dominant speicies. Yep...my vamps fight themselves and one carries Micheal the Archangel's sword. :D They come in all shapes and sizes and from different parts of the world. They also carry roots from different eras.

Oooh! You all writing your ideas of your ideal vamp, but I thought we were gonna WRITE about them! C'mon people! Let's see them in stories! Ok, I'm already guilty, cause I've thrown myself into the challenge and perhaps misinterpreted. 2000 words later ...

persephoneate- 10-02-2007

As panty-less as I am over you're descriptions, I can't be distracted from my current projects. But I'm having fun anyway...

I have yet to write anything vampire. I have this plot in mind, but it goes back to traditional Christianity-based theism, basic good/evil, the devil is real, blah, blah.

I have yet to write anything vampire. I have this plot in mind, but it goes back to traditional Christianity-based theism, basic good/evil, the devil is real, blah, blah. I did that with Full Circle. I went ALL the way back and included some Adam and Eve stuff. Took Lucifer and Samael and split their histories. One group of vamps aligns themselves with Lucifer and the other group aligns themselves with Samael. The Samael group also has a place in the heirarchy of the Christian pantheon (if that word can be tweaked to be used with Christianity.) There's a book referenced in the Bible...refereneced once...and there are no known copies of it in the world. I took that book, Book of the Wars of the Lord, and made it the vamps sacred text written by Samael. I even have sections where I mimick the tone of the King James Version of the Bible. Full Circle took A LOT of theological research, but in the end it was worth it.
