I'll agree with the alpha male thing. I still love an alpha male, so i guess it fits for me as a reader and a writer. I tend to write alpha females that clash with and confound those alpha males, but they're still alpha's.

I don't think the Alpha male is a must have for EC though I'm sure it helps. I know our Randy & Jason aren't typical Alpha. *shrug*

Same here, Barbara, my and Marguerite's MC's are neither of them alphas.
