I wouldn't seek out a book solely based on the Eppie award, but if it were on the cover of the book I'd be more likely to give it a second look. Also, seeing which publishers dominate in the Eppies, like any other award, does influence me when it comes to choosing who I'll submit to. Thanks for posting the list!

No, I wouldn't. I've hardly heard of any of those people!

Nope. I only buy fiction books that I've already read, or that are by authors I've read in the past. But awards do sometimes cause me to be aware of the existence of an author - I first heard of M. J. Pearson when she turned up in the finalists for the Lambda Literary Awards.
