first dilated penguins, now this... My girl-child and I were shopping in downtown Asheville today and went to a record store (used to be Green Eggs and Jam, but they CHANGED THE NAME, go figure, and now I can't remember what it's called). I was looking through the used CDs and found a CD by a band called - I swear I'm not making this up - Lubricated Goat.
I almost bought it, for the band name and because the album's name was The Great Old Ones and I'm a massive Lovecraft geek. But I didn't because I am cheap and didn't want to spent 8 bucks on something that was, let's face, most likely crap.
but now I'll always wonder. sigh.

 And I thought some of my old metalhead friends had weird names for their bands....

Oh, you *should* have bought it, Ally.
Band interview here: (the bit from "So, will you explain this front cover for 'The Great Old Ones' and how you made it?" is priceless)

I have spent FAR too long here today, and am now going to do something sensible. Honest. Really.

And here I am, responding to the little red dots that pop up on my e-mail icon.
There is obviously no hope for me at all.
