GLBT Paperback Anyone know of publishers who put out paperback books with GLBT themes? I was looking over at Elloras and couldn't find a thing. Does anyone know if they have plans to put out any?

Torquere has trade paperbacks of MANY titles. So does Loose Id.

Thanx, Mychael...I'm in the process of mad internet shopping. Know of any others?

Hmm, not sure how many prints in glbt Samhain has, but they do have lots of prints.

Ok, so I went over to MBaM and picked up a glossy paperback called "Without Reservations" by J.l. Langley. It's all a part of my research plan. The top print publishers of GLBT (especially paranormal) are Torquere, Samhain and Loose-Id, just curious as to if there are any others. Looking for possible markets to get a print contract, looking at product quality and so forth...
What do they say...Dream Big

Where in the bookstore do they appear? I can find all the MF I (don't) want in the trade paperback section of the romance shelves, but there's no MM. It seems to me that the real publishing breakthrough would be getting an MM book in paperback with a publisher that could get it onto the right shelf at a bookstore.

M/m (from Samhain) I've found in the GLBT section of Borders.

Phaze has resolved some of it's issues with the print distribution. They'll be putting their GLBT top sellers that otherwise qualify (as with all thier top sellers) into trade paperback. They shelve at borders.

A lot of m/m books end up at GLBT bookstores rather than chains.
Iris Print (as it name implies) does printed books.

Well, yeah...I see Kensington, Cleis, and Alyson at Lambda Rising all the time. But none of the e-pubs.

(Shifts mind out of essentially gayfic orientation.) Well, I can -*test*-('")ify that Iris Print is at the DC branch of Lambda Rising. I saw it in the SF/F section this month.

I haven't been to that branch in a while. But I pop into the Rehoboth branch every so often.

Do you mean just e/POD or also mainstream presses in offset or POD only? (no e-)
Loose Id don't guarantee print at any particular sales level, it is at their discretion.

Alyson, Cleis, Kensington, Haworth, Suspect Thoughts, Lethe, and StarBooks are a few I've dealt with by selling short stories to their anthologies. They all publish novels as well. In the print world, those are pretty much the big boys on the block.

Smaller houses include Cavalier, PD, 7th Window
