Have you Heard this?
What an interesting way to get people interested in reading! Book trailers are like movie trailers, but for books! You can find them all over the internet now, but here is a site that's featuring them on YouTube. http://www.youtube.com/booktrailers

COS produces book trailers, so I'm pretty sure the only ones featured on their page are ones they created. But if you search YouTube for book trailers, you'll find thousands. Narrow it down by adding a few keywords to your search (like...um...oh, for instance gay regency romance).

So far I am not a great fan. But some people seem to like them or like making them as a mini-art form :)

I'm still not won over completely. But I had some time to kill while some things are being worked out, plus I had an idea...so I did one. Link down in promo if you want to see what I do with my Barbies when I'm bored.

I'm afraid this is spam; I got the same message in response to two of my booktrailers at IMEEM. I've sent a letter to COS Productions to see whether they're responsible, or whether this is just due to an overzealous fan. (I have a soft spot for COS, because it was their site that introduced me to booktrailers.)

COS Productions says it comes from a new service they've signed up with, Wide Circles. They say it's an experiment and that they appreciated my feedback on this. Anyone here care to give them more feedback? (Let me know whether I can quote you.)

From my la-*test*-('") e-mail to Sheila Clover English at Circle of Seven, after she sent me two long e-mail follow-ups to her original reply to my letter of concern. "Let me just add that reading your e-mail gave me a warm and fuzzy feeling. It's not often I encounter a company that not only listens to feedback, not only *reacts* to feedback, but actually solicits more feedback. I'm ready to recommend your company to others on the basis of its customer service alone."

Ahem. SPAM.

"Ahem. SPAM." COS Productions or me? :) In case I wasn't clear enough above: I got in touch with COS Productions, and they promptly made changes with the company they hired to do advertising for them (the one that actually did the spamming).
