Haworth Press sold
News popping up at various spots: Haworth Press is being sold. It has published a lot of gay titles, including erotica. The press release says that the trade fiction line will be sold separately. Authors are nervous.

That's a shame; hope they won't abandon the GBLT line.

La-*test*-('") status listing on Distant Horizons, a gltb anthology due out in two parts in December & January, is 'cancelled'. :( I've emailed the editor for more info, as I had a story in the first volume....

This is very grim news. Hope it's just a glitch. But if true, you'd think they'd have contacted the authors first...

I expect the editor will be shopping the anthology around to other presses, in the hopes that s/he can then contact the authors with some options rather than just plain bad news.

Greg Herren, the editor of Distant Horizons, has just confirmed that Haworth have indeed cancelled the anthology. Contributors should be getting (or have had!) an explanatory email today. Rats! :cry:
