I'm Back
I've had major computer problems so I couldn't log in for a while. I've finished 10 chapters of "A View from the Pedestal" I have about 5-6 8 1/2 x 11 pages in each chapter. Is that a good chapter length ? I've also broken through major writer's block. I at least have an idea of where the story will go from here. I'd rather not plan down to the last letter, I like to have my characters kinda' write their own stories. I know where I want my character to go from here, let's she if she's agreeable to that direction.

I usually figure an average of 3-4k words per chapter. Just depends on the needs of the chapter. But if I shoot for that over say 20 chapters I'll hit 60-80k, decent novel length.

That's about what I'd say although with looser (1-5k) parameters. Page number is hard to use as the words on each page depend on font, line spacing, marins etc.
