in dreams how many of you dream your scenes? you know, you go to bed at night or early in the wee morning and literally dream portions of your story? and what about lucid dreaming? the kind of dreaming where you're not really awake or asleep but you can dream? i've had some great scenes and premises for stories come to me in this form.

I wish! It would save so much thinking and planning time :)
I've been trying to train myself to have lucid dreams for years, with no luck - by lucid dreams, I mean the sort where you really are asleep, but you know you are ... and can suddenly do whatever you want. Only ever had three.
Going flying is such fun ....

Most of mine show up when I'm awake, at the most inopportune moments. *head.desk*

I do. I've had entire story plots come out in a dream. Most of my nightmare scenes are used somewhere or other in a story.

The bathtub... especially when I have a migraine. That's when I come up with whole plots, scenes, radom dialogue... all with no pen handy. And when I get out it seems to hard to transfer it to paper.

Occasionally. And sometimes, although I haven't dreamed about it (or at least not to remember) I'll wake up with the perfect solution, or the next paragraph, all ready in my brain just like that.
Doesn't happen nearly often enough though. ;)
