[MARKET] Noble Romance (e-publisher)
This was announced over an e-books publishing list, though the Website won't be opening to customers for a couple of weeks yet. The publisher is Jill Noelle Noble, whose romance books have been published in several places, including Ellora's Cave. They're seeking erotic romance, and say, "Our authors are free to explore any sexual fantasy, even those considered too risque for some of our competitors." They then list what sexual fantasies they won't accept. :) They also won't accept erotica without romance. They'll send you a sample contract but don't have much to say on the Website itself about money. They do talk a bit about their marketing approach. Submissions. MySpace page.

That's risque? Everything this publisher refuses to publish is pretty much the same as what FB refuses to publish. I don't see any difference for content there.

Hmmm. Including incest with several existing publishers *do* allow.

Hmmm. Including incest with several existing publishers *do* allow. I've never noticed any. Can you think of some? Bayou Bill 8)

Total E-bound's current top seller was twincest last time I looks, also Dark Eden Press.

Torquere allows for twincest

Not to sound crass, because I don't know anything about this woman and her publishing experience, but I must know about this recent surge of authors turning to e-publishing. I can understand a desire to be in control of your own work from start to finish, but publishing is work! Don't get me wrong, I find nothing wrong with it, many people do well in self-publishing. Yet, deciding to take on the responsibility of publishing other authors takes time, especially away from your own writing. Already we have seen a number of epubs fold this year, some of which were started by authors who spurred off from another epub. That said, I wish this venture well. It's going to be a high hill to climb.

*bias alert* I've known Jill via an online crit group for going on 8 years now. She's been wanting to do this for a long time. She commented on the EREC blog a few days back with more info on herself and the company's financial backing. http://www.erecsite.com/2007/11/more-about-noble-veinglory.html

Looks good. Hope they make a go. We need more e-success stories.

Yes, we do.

Noble Romance Publishing - Dropping by to Say Hello
Hi. Stumbled upon these posts, and thought I'd drop in to introduce myself and say hello. Barbara already posted a link where you all can read more about NRP (thanks, Barb!)...but if anyone has any other specific questions they can contact me personally at jill@nobleromance.com. To address what someone else mentioned, about NRP not appearing to be looking for anything other than what the other pubs are seeking...actually, we do hope to push the envelope a little. While we're still planning to stay (mostly) within the "romance" genre, I happen to believe there are a lot of women out there who prefer a bit more kink in their romance, both in their fiction and in real life. Although I won't look at, for instance, real life rape or true incest, I'll be happy to look at any/all role-playing scenarios. As long as the author remembers our basic guidelines (kick-ass story and an honest-to-goodness, well written romantic story), I'll consider the book for publication. What I'm seeking, specifically, are erotic authors who believe kink has a place in a romantic relationship, or erotic romance authors who believe real couples might be just a little kinkier than today's erotic romance publishers seem to think they are. :-) Hope that clears things up a bit. These days, I basically live online, so do feel free to contact me if you need more info. I'll be sure to provide a prompt response. Best Regards...and remember, think kink! :-) Jill
