Found this site when the moderator Friended me at LJ. It looks like a nice operation. It's free, and they're offering MP3 files of stories. Their target audience is the blind, as well as anyone else who's interested in audio erotica. Jane's Guide has given them the thumbs up. And they pay $50 for 1-2000 words, $100 for longer pieces. Will wonders never cease. They're mainly looking for first-person stories with a female narrator: het, bi, or lesbian. But they say they'll consider anything. I submitted a story to them in January, and another in September. They're not big on replying.

I submitted a story a few weeks ago. They sent a reply saying that they received it.

I sent them a feedback e-mail, and they responded within the hour. Maybe your e-mails went astray in their inbox, Candace? After a couple of years of e-zine submissions, I began to take it as a rule that only fifty percent of my manuscript submissions *wouldn't* get lost at e-zines. It got so I was sending out more "Did you get my manuscript?" e-mails than actual submissions.

Good to know! After no-reply #2, I was ready to write them off.

No reply to the "did you get my submission?" inquiry! They are written off in my book.

Um . . . a bit early to draw any final conclusions, perhaps? Look what time of year it is. :) I've found that, on average, it takes publications about a month to reply to my "Did you get my submission" enquiries. *If* I'm lucky. But I'd be tapping my toes too if I were in your situation, given Sonicerotica's non-response to your earlier contacts.

I submitted something to them December '06. Received word that they were still considering submissions but nothing since then. I withdrew my submission recently.
