james prompted me to give more details behind my current project, a short story, so here goes. sera is unhappy in her marriage. she loves her husband sam but there's no spark. they've slipped into a dull routine that leaves no room for passion or spontaneity. when she finally gathers enough courage to talk about her unfulfilled desires with busy, stressed and exhausted sam, he announces he is going out of town for two weeks. sera is crushed knowing she will have to put off the 'big talk' and be alone. as part of her regular exercise, she goes jogging in the park one night. it's summertime and night is the only time to exercise. on a curve in the trail, she is pulled under some large bushes. but she is not raped. the masked male is gentle, tender, and very passionate. she confesses to a dear friend who is naturally very worried about her state of mind after such a thing. but sera assures her that she could have fought back and got away at any time but didn't want to. then it happens again outside a laundry mat, then again in a phone booth, the ladies' room at a night club and at the park again. then sam returns home. sera must confess. but he has a surprise in store for her. sam is her masked lover. what da'ya think?

Eeeenteresting. I like it. It also leaves room to examine a lot of the emotions around such a situation-- the confusion and guilt of sleeping with someone she's not married to and LIKING it. Or are you going just more for the naughty bits and leaving the complex stuff for another time?

DarkMarguerite- 06-23-2006

Oh I'm such a sucker for the emotions that motivates us and the underlying reasons for why we do things. The sexy stuff is fun the complex stuff is compelling.

Me too! The emotions are what keeps me involved in the story longterm. And this is the perfect vehicle for something like that. OR you can just write the smut. I like smut too. YAY for smut. :D

Yes, good set-up, lots of potential. I think if you want to make it credible that she doesn't recognise his body, he has to keep most of his clothes on ... perhaps they could be very different from his normal clothes?

That is a very good point. I would know SG's body from the moment he took his shirt off.
