New: the EREC happy-omoter Okay so I am going ahead with this new idea. I figure it can only get me in so much more trouble.
Basically the deal is that you can email ERECmail@gmail.com with the subject line HAPPY-OMETER and give a simple 'I am satisfied' or 'I am not satisfied' for any press you are published by. Once I have at least 10 responses I will post a satisfaction % at ERECsite.com/PLIST.html.
I think this will be rather interesting...

LOL
Go for it, Em. The site serves a valid purpose and more authors should visit it.

If there really is a 'trouble-making authors' list I figure I am probably already on it, so what the hey ;)

I'm getting my first data. I am not terribly surprised that most publishers are falling in the 0% or 100% categories....

Not unlike the legendary Abou Bin Adhem (may his tribe increase), no doubt your name would lead all the rest. :D

I need to retake the survey for Phaze. We've made some changes since that last one was taken.

I am thinking fo nixing the survey as it doesn;t seem to help people very much. But if you want to keep it accurate in the meantime feel free to send an update :)

My first thought is: how could it not be helpful? My second thought is: Do you think it would be more helpful if you added two more levels "somewhat satisfied" and "somewhat dissatisfied" of course if you're going to do that you might as well go with the standard five. That has a special name, but I can't remember what it is.

Fisting?

I was speaking in that case of the publisher surveys with the 18 questions. The really interesting questions get generic kinds of answers and very few people read those pages of the site....
