The Reading Room (one person site) http://thereadingroom.blogspirit.com/ In The Library Reviews (multi-reviewer site) http://www.inthelibraryreview.com/ Book Pleasures (multi-reviewer site) http://www.bookpleasures.com We could do a rough order from major to minor?

mychael_black- 07-14-2005

Sounds good, although you might have to do that, as I don't know which would be considered major and which would be minor. LOL

veinglory- 07-14-2005

I think single reviewer siates are generally minor, everything else is moderate except fallen angel, JERR and probably some others I've never heard of. It might also pay to say which genres they cover.

mychael_black- 07-14-2005

Hmm, good points. Okay, you want to set up the main list, or want me to?

veinglory- 07-14-2005

But seriously, I say just throw it altogether and but the big sites at the top, I can add some details where necessary?

mychael_black- 07-14-2005

*chuckles* Okay, doing that.

annaf- 09-02-2005

Don't forget www.glendawoodrum.com There are three of us reviewing at the moment and we'll review all genres. Check out the site.

Yaay! That has come up well. Once I'm back from hols I must contact them again about my interview. I'm sure it's just an oversight.

Here's a couple more romance review sites. I don't know how helpful they are, but I'd marked them as possibilities for my own books. ParaNormal Romance Reviews http://paranormalromance.writerspace.com/Reviews.htm Speculative Romance Reviews http://www.specromonline.com/index.cfm?pg=3 I found this via a post at Lulu. It's a list of review sites that are friendly to non-traditional publishers. The list isn't romance-specific, but it might be helpful for anyone encountering barriers against non-traditional publishing. http://www.bardsandsages.com/reviews1.htm

mychael_black- 03-07-2006

Hm. I'm not entirely sure. LOL *makes a note to update the list*

Most publishers will send your book themselves to at least one review site, Vamp. After that I think it's just a question of contacting some of the ones that take your fancy, explaining who you are and (briefly LOL) what your book's about, and see if they want to review it for you. If they say yes, you can usually just send your pdf file to them and they do the rest. :)

veinglory- 03-07-2006

The first thing is often to check which ones are used by the publisher routinely. Then you have to hunt around the others sites to find the 'go to' person for sending books for review. Next time I do this I will see about listing the actual emial addy and info required for each here.
