Spoofed by Publisher Hi Guys and Dolls.
Vampiella Here, it has been a while. I was finally able to get to my daughters today and will be here till Wednesday, thus I have internet access again-YIPPEE.
I have a quick question about a publisher, I am witholding the company name till I check reponses.
I was to have a novel published this month and also am due an advance.
Today being the last day of May-nothing happening. The publishers's site states my novel is due out in May and I have written several e-mails asking about its release.
Of course I have not gotten a reply to my queries, thus my question, What do I do now?
I appreciate any advice the gang can give.
On another note I am doing better, hassling with lawyers over divorce etc.
Husband(can't call him ex just yet) is parading his new lover in front of me.

Make sure your email isn't being stupid (mine often does, and both incoming and outgoing emails get lost for months at a time). Re-send your email to the publisher from as many different addresses as you have -- hotmail, yahoo, everything -- with a note apologising for the mass emails but explaining you've had no response and are worried your server is barfing your mails.
Make sure their email server isn't biffed -- contact some of their other authors and ask if they've had problems contacting the publisher.
Read your contract again and see if they say that they expect contact to be via email or snail mail or certified mail or whatever, just in case you are meant to be contacting them some other way. Also check to see what your contractual options are in the event of non-payment by the publisher.

I think HH has offered you good advice. Check with other authors and editors at the pub. It's really odd for a publisher to be out of contact during a release month.
