The Intern I've just started on the parliamentary m/m I mentioned elsewhere on the forum. I'm going to use this to keep track of progress and perhaps to -*test*-('")-run some of it on you all.
I'm also going to try reporting back with a word count, as that seems to work for some of you.

I should say that the working title only is 'The Intern.'

Can't wait, it sounds like so much slightly evil fun. :)

Right, signing off for the day now. Quite a lot written and the establishing scenes done.
Word count 2,065. But I won't be able to keep up the pace as I'm working for the next four nights.

Good start, though. :)

Yes, that's a good start.:D

Only 783 on Saturday, but I was at work at night and that's when I usually write most. Going to bed now, but will try to get an hour in before I go out this evening.

Good luck!

Better yesterday, 1111. I'm counting as 'a day' the period between me getting up and going back to bed.
This one is well and truly plotted all the way through, so once I have some time I can really crack on with it, I hope.

Back in the land of the living. I finished my night shifts this morning, and slept for about five hours. This is the Zombie day, when you just stagger around, doing what you can.
I've got a bit confused about my word count for The Intern. But the overall count is now 5688 and we've got to the first significant sex scene.
I'm aiming for just over 20000 which is what The Facility Trip came out at.
Tavaran- 07-26-2006
Hope you make it. Don't eat too many brains.
Too hot to sleep at all here last night, even during the night, so I'm suffering today.
Zzzzzzz....
Lamia- 07-26-2006
Well, last night I was freezing! Had to call Stoke on Trent or wherever it is, twice, and ended up sitting in a coat which I had left in the car for the dogs to sleep on.
Well, I've done some more tonight; half-way through the climactic sex scene, and we're at 7056, which means I've done 1368 words today. Considering how zonked I am, this is progress.
Now I have to adapt to sleeping like normal people; I'm probably going to be crying out for that air conditioning!
kmfrontain- 07-26-2006
I do not regret my air conditioners this summer. Cost us, but we feel sooooo much nicer.
Sounds like you're getting progress done despite everything, and that's good. :D
Lamia- 07-27-2006
I'd love to have air conditioning at home, particularly in this weather. Must be wonderful.
But the air conditioners at work are a pain, because they malfunction, and if it's very hot during the day they cool the place down to the temperature of an ice house, and stay like that at night. As on my last night, people are sitting in their coats, or going out to the landing to get warm.
To get them changed we have to ring a call centre about two-hundred miles away, and what usually happens is the thing is fixed just as we're about to go home and the new shift is coming in saying 'Isn't it hot in here!'
Anyhow, I have a day off today, so hope to do some proper work on 'The Intern.'

Good luck.
