The rools - pls read first!
Now that we're attracting more members we thought it was time to set a few basic rules for everyone's safety and comfort. First, when you join the forum please post a message somewhere. It can be in an introduction, a reply or just say "-*test*-('")". We have so many spam members that if you post somewhere (like a real person) it helps us avoid deleting you by mistake. These are: 1. Regular participation preferred (if you don't post at all in your first two months your membership may be deleted) 2. No flaming, spamming or personal remarks 3. Constructive feedback only on works submitted for review 4. Avoid contentious issues such as politics, religion etc that may cause offence 5. Avoid posting material of an explicit sexual nature (see FAQ on where to post this instead) 6. Strictly no posting of material or links containing or linking to paedophilia, necrophilia, bestiality or scat 7. Please only quote short sections of posts when you reply to them. 8. Have fun! edited to add: 9. Please post something within the first few days of your membership. Spam membership are causing a real problem and so it really helps me if you let me know that you are defintiely a real person.

I have one little thing to add to the rules, and it's actually a link on constructive criticism in writing: http://www.excitingwriting.info/courses/ewfc/criticism.html

The general board is R13. Adult discussion should go in the 'Discussion with Adult Content' forum which is accessable only to registered members. Adult fiction should be posted only in the 'Secret Workshop' which is accessable to registered members who send me an age statement by private message.

Submissions
Am I allowed to post that I am open for submissions?

veinglory- 10-16-2006

Sure, I suggest the Markets & Con-*test*-('")s sub-forum

Thanks!!

"The general board is R13." Em, I think it would help people outside New Zealand if we provided ratings for all of the English-language countries whose members are most likely to turn up here. Different countries' ratings systems don't translate exactly into each other (for example, there's no exact American equivalent to R13), but here's the closest I can come up with. If I've missed any countries, or misinterpreted the ratings of any countries, I hope people will correct me. Australia: MA15+. Canada: 14A. Canada - Quebec: 13+. Ireland: 12A. New Zealand: R13. United Kingdom: 12A. United States: PG-13. Wikipedia: Motion picture rating systems http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motion_picture_rating_system Oh, and - *cough, cough* - I hope no Francophones shoot me for listing Quebec among English-speaking countries.

Despite their best efforts Quebec is still a province ;) I am thrilled to discover I still automatically use NZ terminology sometimes, without even knowing it.

:). I still use some British grammar after all these years.
