Twilight Fantasies - Dead - RIP
Twilight Fantasies went dark yesterday or today. Rumors they indicated they were bankrupt (from one of their authors). Not a huge surprise, apparently, but thought I would report. Website and author blog are gone.

Darn it. Another one down. :(

LOL I was just blogging about this, declarinbg them provisionally dead--pending confirmation. I should have checked here first. I hadn't heard any bad press about them, but also hadn't heard anything at all about them except for a little online author cheerleading. Their myspace is still up. Another case of happy, happy, happy, dead?

Not so much on the happy, happy. I do know the owner seemed to stop responding to communications starting sporadically about 2 months ago. It was in the cards and many sensed it. It is a business that SEEMS easy and not too expensive to get into. But a good business plan and the ability to stick to the smart road is a must. Along with more than adequate start up funding.

I just had a copy of a letter they sent forwarded to me. They appear to be trying to be professional about it, as best they can. ---------------------------- Due to the continuing illness of the owner, Twilight Fantasies is forced to close its doors. I think it's only fair to say that although we are trying to avoid it, bankruptsy may result. Thank you for the opportunity to work with you, and we hope that you will have all the success you deserve as an author. We would like to take this opportunity to return the rights to all contracted works you have with Twilight Fantasies, published and unpublished. Thank you for your continued support and professionalism of TFP!

Of course the return of rights is still tricky if bankruptcy remains on the cards within the next 6 months.
