Giffen keeps making passes at Peter--which *so* isn't in the story, But at least is breaks up the angst... Perhaps he has a thing for Peter and hasn't told you. I keep reminding my characters that they are supposed to tell me these things before hand, but they don't listen. I can't tell you how many times I've been writing and said, \"I didn't know that.\" I'll then go back and make sure the new information fits and I almost always see foreshadowing for it. >.< The characters write better than I do and that's damn insulting.

Heh, yes. Then I gave Giffen his own guy and the main plot involved actually getting him to go for the guy. I had to make the love interest an incubus just to explain how they keep having sex when Gif really isn't into the guy romatically until near the end
