Up Close and Personal
I re-worked an old story for the In Touch For Men market (gay humour and erotica). The story's very naughty <g> so I've shoved it in the Erotic Romancers files and I'll be interested to see what folks think. Two things - I think the ending is a bit rushed and I've got about 50 more words to play with so I might rewrite that. And two - I simply cannot think of a good title for this one. Any ideas? ;)

Thanks to Liz for coming up with the hilarious title Up Close and Personal. LOL LOL LOL. That's now gone to the top of the list. :D

And here's a brief snippet, just to give you all some idea of the strange ways my mind works. :D He'd been okay at first because his business-and-life partner Sam had been here too. They'd scoffed beer and biscuits and told each other all the smutty stories they could think of, in between taking turns at the window with the binoculars and their hideously expensive new camera. But as lunchtime approached Sam's stomach began to grumble, so Rob sent him out for supplies. Sam had been gone for the best part of an hour which was ample time to drive to the nearest village shop and back; Rob was beginning to think he'd fallen foul of a combine harvester somewhere and was squashed into a hay bale in the middle of a field. He sighed. Bloody idiot better be back soon - he was starving now as well, and his arms were aching from holding the binoculars so long, and if he was honest that last dirty joke had really fired him up.

Sent query letter to In Touch for Men to see if they want this as an unsolicited mss.

No response yet. *sigh* The query had to be via on online form and I'm not sure it was even working. I've had no acknowledgement and no reply in their stated 2 month response time. I'll give it one more week, then try this in the la-*test*-('") desdmona con-*test*-('"). They want original, and this is certianly, ahem, original. *grins*

Well, it didn't place in the desdmona con-*test*-('"). I thiink I should really stop sending stuff to them - I've had 5 stories entered in their con-*test*-('")s now and they haven't chosen any of them.... Maybe my style just isn't their cup of tea, or perhaps my stories aren't erotic enough. Need to decide where to send this off next.

Entered this in the BookPuppy.co.uk con-*test*-('"). No idea whether it's what they want - probably nowhere near 'graphic' enough on the sex - but you can't tell if you don't try.... ;)
