Virginia Beach Or Bust Okay, I'm posting this here for the whole wide 'net to see so I can't back out later when it starts getting hard.
A friend of mine recently ran the Virginia Beach Half Marathon, and was so psyched by her performance (in the top 20% overall for women, yay!) that she's decided to do it again next year, and I said I'd run it with her.
This means, people, that I have to dust off my Nike Airs and actually start running again for real, not just dabbling here and there. I got out of the habit after a knee injury just over a year ago, but I miss it like crazy and I'd love to be able to just fall out my front door and do six miles all nice and easy like I used to. So, I am now officially in training. I am starting basically over from the beginning and taking it slow, to avoid another injury, so it is going to be hard.
Y'all kick my ass if I start slacking off, okay? Thank you.

Y'know I think you're crazy--but I'll do any butt-kicking required, all the same.

Wow. I have problems running for the bus *grins* so I take my hat off to you! Let us know how the training goes. And I'll be there on the start line with a cattle prod. ;)
