(Wanted) Het kinky market
A writing buddy has done a good, short, very kinky and rough (no non-con, but close) het story, and I want to help her find a good market for it. I haven't worked this part of the market in years -- who's good right now for that?

Phaze will take shorts for the Heat Sheet Line, that's royalty on sales. In thier Umbra line they'll take fairly dark stuff. They also have the Coming Together in Pride antho call out. That takes all levels and such -- pay though is $10 or a contract for a stand alone heat sheet. Don't know much about others.

Ruthie's Club is about the only het market I have any knowledge of. They're usually pretty quick to respond. Also, Clean Sheets and Fishnet, and Fishnet pays good! :)

Oysters and Chocolate accepted my kinky het short. They do a lot of f/f stuff and mine was a group scene that had a brief f/f element to it. I think they handle regular het. The pay was decent for the size.

Not a good money marketwise (they pay in advertising) or audience-wise (their circulation is small), but Power Exchange accepts kinky fiction of all orientations, particularly if it's on M/s or DS. Otherwise, I'd suggest that your writing buddy look through the ERWA listings. There's always something there.

Heh I forgot that too myself. I was looking thru the categories on gaydemon.com and went to Straight, and thought 'hmmmm ... guys doing it with girls?'. I thought the section was for gay guys getting with straight guys. I guess guys DO get with girls occasionally, hehehe ....

What blows my mind and I think someone here posted a link to the site was the porn site targeted to gay men that featured straight guys having sex with women. Straight sex for gays--a market I never thought I'd see.

Gay demon is focussed on gay guys, but has a section for straight guys getting with girls in their erotica section! That's what caught me out. I thought it was straight guys getting with gay guys, but had one of those slow realization moments heheh .... 'Hey that guys got tits and oooh .... it's a girl!' I'm a gay guy who doesn't mind reading some well written straight erotica, but it's gotta be even more specific than my m/m erotica wants. And it might even help if it's mmf. But I guess there must be a call for it right, if Gay Demon has the section for it? Or maybe this is a whole new topic of it's own?
